Unsolicited Blessings

By Myself I have sworn, says the Lord, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son…I will bless you” – Genesis 22:16 -17 (NKJV)

Undeserved blessings – we don’t deserve them, but yet, we are blessed!

Once you’ve given your life to Christ, you can walk in the unsolicited blessings of God through obedience to His statutes and commands. You’re a child in His kingdom.

Friends, being in the kingdom of God is hinged on having a right relationship with Him. It means aligning our faith and our love, which finds favour with God. If in Him, and for Him,  we live, and move, and have our being, then He superintends over our affairs, so we must trust Him like Abraham did. This will surely lead to unmerited and unsolicited favour.

Moreover, when we are blessed, we want to dedicate our whole life and everything we have to His service. Our returns will be great, and we will be blessed beyond measure, receiving the joy of the Lord and the peace that passeth all understanding (Ephesians 1:3; Philippians 4:7).

Remaining in God’s kingdom also gives us and our offspring direct access to His throne of grace and mercy. He sustains us, and we do not have to step out of His presence to acquire security, finance, self -actualization, or any other need that the world has laid out; we are already in the right place. We have an all-sufficient God – Jehovah Jireh.

Baruch Hashem Adonai means ‘blessed be the name of the Lord’. And indeed, in Him, we are blessed, for He keeps His promises (Hebrews:12-19). He admonished us not to have any other god before Him (Exodus 20:3), for He is our Hashem (the Lord our God), and once we obey, Abraham’s blessings are also ours.

Remember, there is nothing that mankind can do to earn His blessings; merely obey Him and watch Him do the rest in your life. May the blessings of God overtake you today. Amen!
